Maybe you find yourself at a crossroad in your life and don’t know what path to take, or are feeling stuck, depressed or unsure where you are going. Or maybe you know where you want to go but can’t see how to get there. You might be experiencing depression, anxiety, anger, hopelessness, or a lack of meaning in your life.
Sometimes we need to talk to someone who listens and doesn’t tell us what to do or think. We may need to try to put into words what we are thinking or feeling. Someone who will listen without judgment. Therapy can help us develop skills to become aware of what is happening inside and around us, and help us develop ways to cope with the obstacles in our path.
We can work together in several ways. I can help you find ways to manage stress in your everyday life through body awareness exercises and “settling” techniques, utilizing findings from neuroscience. Exploration of deeper processes, through working with dreams and other unconscious material can be immensely rewarding and effective. We can discuss how these options might relate to your goals and wants in our first few sessions.
I also assist individuals wanting validation and support to grieve for the lost animals in their lives.
Dreams are a universal experience and a key aspect of Jungian analysis. They provide a vital link to the unconscious, helping to resolve emotional and mental issues. Dreams play a crucial role in the development of one's personality, contributing to the process of individuation.
As a Jungian analyst in Arizona, including Phoenix, Tempe, and Scottsdale, I offer depth psychotherapy grounded in Carl Jung's principles. This approach aims for profound psychological growth rather than just symptom relief and values spirituality and creativity.
Incorporating somatic therapies alongside Jungian analysis enhances the healing process. I am informed by Somatic Experiencing, Inner Relationship Focusing, and the NeuroAffective Relational Model. These gentle somatic approaches can help us feel more connected to ourselves and overcome feelings of being stuck.
My practice is trauma-informed, recognizing the lasting impact of past trauma on current life, regardless of an individual’s presenting concerns. I offer a safe and sensitive approach to my therapeutic work, adhering to principles that can help prevent retraumatization.
Psychotherapy is a collaborative process where we work together to change unhelpful thought and behavior patterns. I provide a supportive environment for open dialogue and personal growth.
